Our institution proudly traces its roots to Rev. Fr. Louis Savinien Dupuis, the Founder of the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pondicherry. It is a matter of great pride that our Founder Father himself established, as the second school, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Government Aided High School, Nellithope, on July 2, 1859. His noble vision and missionary zeal laid the foundation for this temple of learning, which continues to enlighten young minds and nurture values through faith and education.
We visualize a society where people, particularly women, are integrally empowered to usher in sustainable development for the improvement of their lives in totality. We believe people have the potential to shape their destiny and have ample resources within and around them; building their capacity will enable them to be self‑reliant and live dignified lives.

School established at Nellithope by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM).
Priority given to BPL non‑Catholic girls.
Tamil Medium started.
Admissions dipped due to political unrest; later regained momentum.
Recognized as a Middle School by Government of Puducherry.
Building renovated and extended.
English Medium sections started with 7 students.
Staff began to receive 95% Government salary.
Upgraded to High School.
Major infrastructure expansion with many classrooms.
Celebrated 150th Jubilee Year.
Smart Class and A/C Computer Lab introduced; built 6 new classrooms.
Consistent 100% results for more than 10 years; SMS system, squads and CCTV introduced.
